  1. "There have been numerous incidents of human rights violations in Assam and Northeast India during the past twenty or more years. India, although lauded as the largest democracy in the world, has a consistently poor record in terms of human rights violations. Places where people have been tortured, maimed and killed by the Indian army, paramilitary forces, and the police on numerous occasions are primarily in Kashmir, Punjab, Assam, and the Northeast India. This must stop if we have to convince the world we are a democracy - merely holding elections does not make us a democracy."

Human Rights Watch, the US based Human Rights group has had a close tab on India and just finished an article related to extra judicial killings by the police forces in India. The editor/writer of this article makes a very big and rue claim with this last quote that I have taken from his article. He knows it so the rest of India needs to get on board.

Global Human Rights Are For Everyone Get IT? India boasts nearly 1 billion people plus.....
