GENEVA, Aug 25 (Reuters) - "United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay said on Tuesday there should be no immunity from prosecution for torture of terror suspects in a U.S. probe of alleged CIA prisoner abuse cases."

First of all, can she really make this call? That remains to be seen still. Interesting that she came out publicly with that statement so quickly. I'm fuzzy if the UN can decide what the US can o can not do in this situation from an international law viewpoint. Irregardless, the UN is definitely involved so the pressure is ratcheted up another notch on these torture issues with the CIA, and the previous government administration.
You can bet this will be table talk in the coming weeks and months. If there is evidence that there was torture even if it was under "orders" those that perpetrated are just as guilty as those that gave the orders right? You remember the movie with Tom Cruise right the Navy lawyer with the Faggoty white pants? Who was up against the Marine Colonel who ordered the "code red". Same scenario here in my opinion. Hang on this is going to be a bumpy ride.

"The next step would involve criminal liability for anyone who broke the law, Navi Pillay said in a statement calling for greater transparency about "secret places of detention and what went on in them".

    We will see....
